S36 FB-K model ball valve features: Specifically designed for refrigeration systems with a temperature range of -50 °C. The three-piece full-port ball valve is equipped with a handle and can be used as a manual or actuator-operated stop valve. The valve body and main shaft expander are made using ISO standardized top flanges, suitable for simple and safe installation of air or electric actuators.

Function and Construction: 

Soma's 3-piece full-port ball valve consists of a housing, which is secured between the two end pieces using 4 or 8 bolts, depending on the size. The housing is equipped with an ISO top flange. 

The seat ring is made of polytetrafluoroethylene. The main shaft expander is equipped with arrows indicating the flow direction, and the sphere is provided with pressure relief holes for the flow direction, which are used to achieve pressure balance within the cavity when the valve (for the coolant changing from liquid to gas) is closed. O-ring seals are installed at the top and bottom of the main shaft expander to prevent the surrounding atmosphere from penetrating and forming an ice layer.
