When asked about the greatest advantage of R290 compared to other alternatives, Niklas replied directly:

Firstly: Environmental impact. The total weight productivity (GWP) of propane is very low, it does not affect the ozone layer, and does not contain any PFAS. This makes it a future-oriented choice, especially when the new regulations in the EU come into effect. But the benefits are not limited to the environment - propane is also very energy-efficient and cost-effective.

He also pointed out that many markets have begun to gradually phase out fluorinated refrigerants, which has increased the demand.

"This is a solution that meets both technical requirements and future legal requirements. We have also seen significant progress in the safety technology of flammable refrigerants, which makes this technology both safe and reliable." 

Energy-saving solutions for industry and real estate - at Aramatec

A large part of the sales went to industries, chemicals and medical technology, as well as major real estate systems.

"We noticed that it's not just a technical issue anymore – it's more about the company's values and sustainable development goals," Niklas said. 

Strong confidence in the future and continuous development

"We expect to continue to grow, especially in Europe, where legislation is rapidly pushing for the ban of fluorinated refrigerants. This is driving development, but we also see that customers genuinely hope to choose sustainable solutions," he said.

Based on propane, Skadec now offers complete refrigeration and heating solutions. Through cooperation with Aramatec, Swedish customers now have the opportunity to utilize these modern systems.
